Dear Friends
Happy New Year!!
I hope this year has gotten off to a wonderful start for you.

December was a very busy month for me and the highlight was a trip to Miami
to go and see Art Basel… which is one of the biggest art fairs in the country.
I went with three others artists and we had an amazing time.  The quality of the art
was very high and there were artists represented from all over the world.  I had never
been to Miami and really loved it.  We stayed in South Beach which is a whole
world unto itself.  At the fair I met a few artists whose work I had always admired,
among them Udo Noger.  I also had a wonderful conversation with Robin Vousden
a dealer at Gagosian gallery about Cy Twombly one of my favorite artists.
Robin had actually gone and visited Cy in Italy a few years before he died.  He
had some wonderful stories to share with me.

This last weekend I  went on my annual art trip to the LA Art fair and had a great time with my friend Roger Webb.  We met there five years ago and always make a point of going together. I discovered a Spanish artist named Gil Cuatrecasas who died in 2004 and whose numerous works were recently discovered and are being shown for the first time in Los Angeles by the curator Peter Hastings Falk.  These are big bold beautiful
paintings done by a true artist whose life story is indeed tragic and yet whose work is
now being seen and acknowledged.  Super inspiring.

I also wanted to share a few images of my work that was bought by a wonderful
couple  and collector in Montecito a few months ago.  The photos were taken by the talented photographer Amy Barnard… whose work you can see at http:// www.dharmavisions.com

The other big news is that I am now officially coaching and mentoring artists
and I have a 90 day coaching program which I am offering.  I will be sharing more details about that soon.

Sending you my love,

Amadea
