Flight Series

My flight series began as I sat on my surf board while on vacation in Hawaii. Every day I would paddle out, close my eyes and imagine I was a bird with giant wings that stretched out on both sides of me into infinity. My “wings” would merge with the wind, sky, and water and I felt completely at one with the elements. The series developed out of a desire to take those feelings of expansion and freedom and space and movement and transpose them with paint and color into something concrete which my viewers could disappear into.
